エントランスの大きな絵

こんにちは。新入職員のセキグチです。

今日はエントランスに飾ってある絵をご紹介します。

入って向かって右側の上のほうにある大きな絵です。

この絵は長く会員をしてくださっている平瀬早苗さんがお描きになられて、寄贈くださったものです。

1987年のAHIのインドスタディーツアーに参加してくださり、そこで見た光景を描かれたそうです。

サリーをまとった女性たちが映し出された赤い大きな絵に思わず見入ってしまいます。

インドの熱気と香りが濃く伝わってきます。私はこの絵が大好きです。

すでになじみ深い方も多いと思いますが、

ぜひAHIを来館されたときにはこの絵もご覧になってください。

Hello, I am Sekiguchi Aki, a new staff member.

Today, I would like to introduce a painting that hangs at the entrance of the building.
This picture was painted and donated to us by Ms. Sanae Hirase .

She is a long time AHI member!

She went to India on an AHI study tour in 1987 and painted the scene she saw there.

The large red painting showing women in saris is unintentionally fascinating.

The heat and fragrance of India is strongly felt in this painting. I love this picture.

I am sure many of you are already familiar with it.
